Research Interest

Sarah Woolley, PhD, is decoding how the brain interprets sound — and what happens during development when those sounds are disrupted. Her work focuses on understanding how the perception of communication sounds is accomplished in the brain.  She studies how the brain codes vocalizations at successive neural processing stages, and how that neural coding is related to experience and species evolution.
