The Columbia Magnetic Resonance Research Center is comprised of three scientific cores. Core 1, Translational Science, situated at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) in collaboration with the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), serves as a pivotal nexus for bridging cutting-edge research with clinical applications. This core facility integrates state-of-the-art laboratories, clinical research units, and computational resources to facilitate the translation of basic scientific discoveries into tangible clinical interventions. By forging connections between benchside experimentation and bedside care, Core 1 fosters the development of novel diagnostics, therapeutics, and personalized treatment strategies, ultimately advancing the frontiers of translational psychiatry and neuroscience.
