Dr. Suarez-Jimenez, Assistant Professor of Neurobiology, is investigating neural signatures of anxiety disorders and PTSD by creating his own virtual reality environments. He is interested in location-specific contextual learning and overgeneralization. His studies employ fMRI coupled with psychological and physical measures of fear and anxiety.
